The Arlo Williamsburg, formerly The Williamsburg Hotel, in Brooklyn, is where I spent my weekend in New York to see Hamilton. Arlo Williamsburg is a beautiful hotel with so much color like emerald greens, golds, leather, and velvet plus the beautiful skyline views of Manhattan across the river. Very different from the typical hotel chain.
I love staying in Brooklyn when I visit New York!

While it used to be pricier at about $300/night, their prices seemed to have gone down to approximately $160/night. I booked back during the Thanksgiving holidays and got a little deal for 50% off, totaling $500 for the four-night stay (including the random Urban Fees NY charges). I credit that to joining a larger hotel chain that could offset the cost that a boutique hotel couldn’t have.
Enough about monies, the hotel has a Watertower bar, Pool, Gym, and Restaurant/Bar. Again, I can’t stress how the decor fits the creative style and edge Brooklyn has to offer.

We love an upgrade!
At check-in guess whose room was already upgraded? This girl! I initially booked the Queen Room but was upgraded to the King Room with a balcony looking over at Manhattan. The bed and pillows were comfy, they had a white noise machine by the bed, and the toilet had its own room. I had a very comfy stay.
Navigating the city from Williamsburg was perfect. Going from Brooklyn to Manhattan or other parts of Brooklyn was all within 10-30 minutes with Uber (traffic makes a big difference). While there is a train station within walking distance, Williamsburg is also its own community with luxury and vintage shopping and any type of food you could ever want within want within 5 minutes’ walking.
I would give the Arlo Williamsburg a 7.7/10! I would change a few things, but I don’t want them to detract from the hotel itself. The short list of changes would be the constant plumbing squeal from flushing the toilet, 2 random squeaking sounds everyday (I’m guessing when others use the shower), and one of the elevator doors would not close and keep opening took about 3 minutes to get down the ground floor. Even though these things didn’t ruin my experience, it did leave me annoyed that they exist.
